Great Cycle Challenge for Children’s Cancer Research

As you may or may not know, my wife and I started this blog as a way to get myself an internet presence and eventually become an active charity rider. We figured that if I was going to bike this much anyway, I might as well do some good at the same time. I am already on track to take part in three separate charity rides of sorts this summer – not including the upcoming July ride – and this one is the first.

I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge this June with a goal to pedal at least 1,200 miles and raise at least $500 for children’s cancer research.

Cancer is the largest killer of children from disease in the United States – 38 children die of cancer every week. Beyond that, I am also representing both my mother and grandmother who have both received breast cancer diagnoses in their lifetime, among several other family members who have either fought or been taken by cancer.

Please consider visiting my challenge page and contributing what you can to my challenge. Also, I would encourage you as well to sign up! It’s easy enough and any miles you ride will help out a very important cause.

All funds raised will help support the Children’s Cancer Research Fund and allow researchers to continue their work to develop innovative treatments and hopefully find a cure for childhood cancer.

Please also feel free to share my challenge page link above on your own site to help me reach my goal and/or with anyone you know would like to donate to the challenge or who would be interested in participating themselves.

I greatly appreciate your support.
